Statement of Faith
- We believe that the Holy Bible is the God-inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God; the source of Christian doctrine and precept.
- We believe that the Scriptures teach that there is one, and only one, living and true God, eternally and equally existent in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. That he is an infinite, intelligent Spirit, whose name is Jehovah, the Maker and Supreme Ruler of heaven and earth.
- We believe that the Scriptures teach that Man was created in the image of God; in holiness, under the law of his Maker; but by voluntary transgression fell from that holy and happy state; and as a result of sin, is lost and powerless to save himself.
- We believe that the Scriptures teach that the salvation of sinners is wholly of grace.
- We believe that the only hope for man is to believe the Lord Jesus Christ, the virgin-born Son of God, who died to take upon Himself the punishment for the sin of mankind, and who rose from the dead, so that by receiving Him as Savior and Lord, man is redeemed by His blood.
- We believe that the Scriptures teach that the great Gospel blessing which Christ secures to such as believe in him is justification; that justification includes the pardon of sin, and the promise of eternal life on principles of righteousness; that is bestowed, not in consideration of any works of righteousness which we have done but solely through faith in the Redeemer’s blood.
- We believe that the Scriptures teach that the blessings of salvation are made free to all by the Gospel; that is the immediate duty of all to accept them by cordial, penitent and obedient faith.
- We believe that the Scriptures teach that in order to be saved, sinners must be regenerated, or born again.
- We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells those who receive Christ, for the purpose of enabling them to live righteous and holy lives.
- We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ and is comprised of all those who through belief in Christ have been spiritually regenerated by the indwelling Holy Spirit. The mission of the church is worldwide evangelization and the nurture and discipline of Christians.
- We believe that the Scriptures teach that Sanctification is the process which, according to the will of God, makes us partakers of his holiness; that it is a progressive work; that it is begun in regeneration; and that it is carried on in the hearts of believers by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit.
- We believe that the scriptures teach that a visible church of Christ is a congregation of baptized believers, in Christ, associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the Gospel; observing the ordinances of Christ; governed by his laws; and exercising the gifts, rights, and privileges invested them by His Word.
- We believe the Scriptures teach that Christian Baptism is the immersion in water of a believer, into the name of the Father, and Son, and Holy Ghost, to show forth our faith in the crucified, buried, and risen Savior, with its effect, in our death to sin and resurrection to a new life.
- We believe in the Lord’s Supper in which the members of the church, by the sacred use of bread and wine, are to commemorate together the undying love of Christ; preceded always by self-examination.
- We believe that Jesus Christ will personally return to rapture the Church; the seven-year tribulation period will proceed thereafter. We believe in the return of Jesus Christ to the earth to establish his earthly kingdom, which will continue for one thousand years. We believe in the final judgment and eternal state.
- We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved and the everlasting punishment of the lost.
