Sister Barbara Cheek

Currently serves as the secretary for the Mount Jezreel Christian School Board. She has always been a strong advocate for children, teaching in the public school as well as the Mount Jezreel Sunday School for over thirty years. She believes all children deserve a stimulating, challenging and enjoyable education that will allow them to aim high and achieve their life goals. She sees education as the door opener to an exciting and rewarding career.

• Retired with 30 years from District of Columbia Public Schools as Classroom Teacher and Assistant Principal
• 34 years working with students with disabilities
